Naked Red 2018 from Heinrich
The "seriously uncomplicated" Naked Red (Heinrich) is a cuvée of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. The grapes come from both sides of Lake Neusiedl: in the east from the gravelly Parndorfer Platte and the humus-rich Heideboden, and west of the lake from the slopes of the Leithagebirge, where limestone and slate predominate. Harvested by hand according to the biodynamic method and in harmony with nature, the grapes undergo a spontaneous fermentation with a two-week maceration period. The Naked Red 2018 is then matured for over a year in wooden fermentation racks. Like all natural wines from Heinrich, it is bottled unfiltered and unsulphured.
