Vinification

Zinzolin 2019 from Valérie Courrèges

A deep red and dark blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Syrah from 40-year-old vines on limestone slopes near Quercy. Valerie ferments spontaneously and then ages her wines for another year in clay and concrete vats. They are bottled unfined and unfiltered. The Zinzolin presents itself initially somewhat floral with berry aromas due to the Malbec, the other grapes provide the tart and spicy density - this makes for real fun in the glass and an inviting drinking flow.
