Straka lifts Welschriesling on a superstar level
In addition to the red Blaufränkisch, the focus in the winery clearly belongs to Welschriesling. Not to be confused with "Riesling", which despite the name is not related. The grape variety, which is especially widespread in Austria, is known as a tangy, uncomplicated wine with a green apple scent. And is usually considered a rather inconsequential grape variety. However, the potential of "Welsch" is impressively proven by Thomas Straka with his wines, which produce a wonderful complexity, structure, depth and an inviting play of aromas.
