Gut Feeling – Fermented Agriculture from Oggau, by Gut Oggau

There are moments when you drink something and immediately know: this is more than a beverage. Gut Feeling is one of those moments. No category quite fits — it is not an alcohol-free wine, not a sparkling tea, not a soft drink. It is a contemporary idea: to make the biodynamic farming of Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe tangible beyond wine.

Between the vines in Oggau grow chamomile, yarrow, dandelion, wormwood, nettle and oak bark. Plants that accompany the soil, sustain the ecosystem, quietly doing their part. From them, herbal extracts are made, fermented with natural microorganisms and bottled with a gentle sparkle. No additives, no filtration.

What emerges is fermented landscape. Gut Feeling is a drink that has more to do with farming than with the beverage industry. With place, soil and time. And a gut feeling you don't need to explain in order to trust it.

Gut Feeling is the logical extension of the Gut Oggau idea

The question was really quite obvious: if plants nourish the vineyard and are part of its life — why shouldn't they become a drink in their own right?

Fermentation makes visible what was previously invisible. Flavour. Structure. Origin. Time. In Gut Feeling, delicate floral aromas unfold alongside herbaceous spice and a fine dryness, accompanied by citrus, apple, quince and a pleasant bitterness that keeps the palate alert without demanding anything of it. Sparkling, yet calm. Depth without weight.

Alcohol-free here means no compromise. It means a different kind of presence — a clear head, conscious enjoyment, real flavour. A drink for moments when you want to be fully there.

Gut Feeling is not a product. It's a philosophy.

Gut Oggau puts no grape varieties on its labels. Instead: faces. A wine family whose members each carry a distinct character — the grandchildren fresh and playful, the parents powerful and structured, the grandparents quiet and complex. Behind this idea are Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe, two of the most defining voices in the international natural wine scene.

Those who know their wines understand the principle: it was never about following the market. It is about making a place taste like itself. A soil. A climate. A way of farming that respects the cycle rather than interrupting it.

Gut Feeling comes from exactly that same ethos. Whoever holds the drink in their hands holds a piece of that thinking — and that place.
