Origin and distribution of Gewürztraminer
Gewürztraminer is a white grape variety known for its very intense aroma. It originally comes from Alsace in France, but is also cultivated in other European regions such as Germany, Italy and South Tyrol. Gewürztraminer has now also established itself in other parts of the world such as New Zealand, California and Australia. Gewürztraminer is a demanding variety and thrives best in cool and humid regions.
