Sous La Roche 2018 from Domaine Ganevat

Arguably one of the most powerful and intense wines from Ganevat. The Sous La Roche 2018 is made from 100% Savagnin from Rotalier, which grows on calcareous gravel and marl soils. The old vines deliver a concentrated intensity, which is kept in check with a vibrant tension and energetic acidity. The finish? You can still feel it when the addition is long over - long, subtly salty and somehow still hungry for more. Carefully harvested by hand with direct pressing, then aged for a full four years in demi-muids as ouillée, i.e. not oxidative. The Sous La Roche delivers pure excitement and is certainly one of the most sought-after wines worldwide. Like all natural wines from Domaine Ganevat, it is unfiltered and bottled without the addition of sulphur.
