Vinification

Fleurie Le Printemps 2022 from Yvon Metras

100% Gamay from various sites within the Fleurie appellation, which grow on granite soils. Yvon Metras cultivates his vineyards organically and uses very old vines. The grapes are harvested relatively late, which ensures a rich fruitiness and fleshiness that runs through the entire line of Metras wines. Concentrated Gamay-Metras power, the Fleurie Le Printemps 2022 has considerable energy, always underpinned by this dark, racy flavour. Lots of spice, becoming more floral with a little air. Polished tannins ensure a beautiful drinking flow. Spontaneous fermentation and long maceration on the skins, these are dark and racy Gamay's, which are then matured in used barrels and bottled unfiltered and without sulphur. Yvon Metras' natural wines are among the most sought-after wines in France.
