Art meets terroir: Les Errances produces authentic natural wines from the Loire region

Warren and Maït are the dynamic duo behind Les Errances and have found each other not only in life but also in the vineyards. Their journey began in 2017 when they acquired their own vineyards in Rablay-sur-Layon, south of Angers, where they have been growing organically for over a decade. Their neighbours are none other than Thomas Batardiere or Babass. Trained by renowned winemakers such as Aymeric Hilaire and Thierry Germain, they work biodynamically and follow a low intervention philosophy in the cellar.

At Les Errances, the emphasis is on authenticity. No modern winemaking tricks or strange blends. Warren and Maïté follow each grape from harvest to bottling with extreme care. Even the labels are eco-friendly and designed with attention to detail. The beeswax they use to seal their bottles is coloured with natural pigments.

Their main goal is to produce natural wines that reflect their terroir. And that is exactly what they have achieved. The natural wines of Les Errances are animating, lively and tell the story of the dark slate soils of Rablay-sur-Layon.
