Kaamen III 2020

Very old Babic bush vines from unique plots, sometimes there are only up to 3-4 vines surrounded by stone walls that have dug very deep into the rock. The rugged terrain does not allow for mechanical tillage, so all cultivation is done by hand. Yields are extremely low, but the fruit delivered is of the highest quality, producing exceptional wines with an intense fruit extract, without long extraction on the mash. Friends of terroir wines get their full money's worth here, because the Babic grapes really delivers with these conditions. After careful selection and de-stemming, the grapes are left on the skins for 4-5 days and spontaneously fermented in open vats. More than half of the wine is aged in fibreglass tanks, while the rest is put into neutral 500-litre oak barrels. The Kaamen III is bottled after one year without fining or filtration and with a very low dose of sulphur. The result is an extract-rich but balanced wine with deep colour, great depth and complexity. Totally unique, what Vinas Mora brings to the bottle here. Like all Vinas Mora wines bottled unfiltered and with minimal added sulphur.
