Himmel auf Erden Rosé 2025

Christian Tschida told the story himself, casually, almost in passing, as he usually does. When he first took over the winery, one thing was clear to him: he was going to stop making rosé. Not because he couldn’t make it, but because he didn’t want to. Then someone made a comment. Someone suggested that he probably didn’t make rosé simply because he didn’t know how. Christian, of course, took this as a challenge and quietly and secretly got to work. Primarily old Blaufränkisch vines, biodynamic plots on the Leithaberg, nearly 300 meters above sea level, slate and limestone, very dense planting. Hand-harvested, spontaneous fermentation, gentle pressing, large used wooden vats. The Himmel auf Erden Rosé 2025 is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur. In the glass, a radiant garnet-pink hue immediately greets us. On the nose: white pepper, citrus zest, red cherry, wild berries—and right there: a distinct hint of salt. It has been part of the portfolio for over ten years now—truly heaven on earth. Like all of Christian Tschida’s wines, it is bottled unfiltered.
