The Seckinger winery has taken off like a rocket in recent years. The three brothers Jonas, Philipp and Lukas conjure up the new German wine style on world-famous vineyards in the Palatinate, concentrating on the essentials: Craftsmanship and tradition.
- Winery Seckinger
The Seckinger Winery, located in the picturesque Niederkirchen in the renowned Palatinate region, has quickly secured a solid place among the best wineries in Germany. Behind this success are the three brothers Jonas, Philipp, and Lukas Seckinger, who are inspiring the wine world with their uncompromising biodynamic approach and artisanal precision.
The Seckinger's vineyards extend over iconic top sites such as the Maikammer Kapellenberg and the Königsbacher Ölberg - ideal conditions for varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The consistent focus on sustainable cultivation and minimalist cellar work results in wines that reflect the terroir in its purest form. 2019 saw a major rethink: the Seckinger winery completely changed its way of working. Initially, it was often unique and challenging, but after a few years of trial and error, they found their clear line - their recipe for success for exciting wines that perfectly reflect the terroir. Philipp looks after the vineyards, Jonas takes care of the vinification in the cellar and Lukas takes care of the administration.
Seckinger wines are characterised by their crystal-clear structure, elegant finesse and deep-rooted minerality - the result of uncompromising biodynamics, which produces truly impressive wines with great finesse. A great interplay of subtle tension, the finest tannins, finely chiselled acidity and restrained fruitiness. The Seckingers have completely reinterpreted Palatinate Riesling and, after many years of trial and error, have developed their very own style. Their wines are true to the terroir, clear and pure, but always with a touch of the Palatinate soul. It remains exciting to see what else they will create in the coming years. One thing is certain: it will be great and definitely not boring! Numerous awards and top ratings are the logical consequence of their passionate commitment. With their rapid rise, the Seckingers are now among the big names on the German wine scene - and quite rightly so.
