Auf welchen Böden und Klima wächst Chardonnay besonders gut?

Chardonnay wächst am besten in gemäßigten Klimazonen mit ausreichend Sonnenschein, aber auch mit kühlen Nächten, um die Säure im Wein zu erhalten. Die Rebsorte bevorzugt Kalkstein oder Lehm.
