"Our wine must be stable, without faults, drinkable, enjoyable and above all: we must like it, otherwise it will not leave our cellar. "

The one who walks barefoot on the bare earth - so the Slovak proverb about Naboso.

On the western foothills of the Carpathians, not far from the Austrian border, the newly in love couple Nadja and Andrej have settled down with their 5 ha project Naboso in the small Slovakian town of Svätý Jur. Nadja is originally from Germany and already worked on a vineyard in Austria. Andrej has already been a winemaker for 10 years and shows with a lot of energy, charisma and technical understanding that he simply loves making wine. This calmness, precision and sensitivity also radiate from their wines, which are only released after about 3 years of maturity.

On sandy granite soils with a south-south-east orientation, unobtrusive, tranquil natural wines are created that are always waiting to be discovered.

The first documents of the estate house date back to the 17th century. After the old wooden door at the entrance, the stone staircase leads down to the old cellar. With a lot of work and passion, Andrej has developed this wonderful place for winemaking. All the work in the cellar is done ruthlessly and thoughtfully, i.e. low-intervention, gravity is how the must gets into the respective barrels. The same principle applies in the vineyard, careful manual work according to organic and biodynamic models. The only additive they use is a small amount of sulphur before bottling, as low as possible and only when they think the wine needs it.

After longer maceration periods with the white wines (keyword: Orange wine) and somewhat shorter for the reds, the wines are aged for 12 months in oak and acacia barrels and bottled unfiltered from the full lees. The results are supple and energetic natural wines that are constantly evolving and want to be discovered again and again. A tribute to this wonderful region, from which we will surely hear and taste much more. Cheers!
