Simone P.I buy wine online quite often and have never visited a website like Drops. The Magic Triangle and the adjectives you chose (fine and layered or funky/classic etc) are really well done and make perfect sense. I love every part of the site, the clarity of the descriptions and also the selection which is not limited but you don't have 1000 beautiful labels and descriptions like WOW AMAZING and no idea what you are going to buy or drink. Good job, honestly.
I've never found it so easy to buy the perfect natural wine for any occasion - with Drops, just picking is (almost) as much fun as tasting the wines!

Picking a wine online is always tough, as you don't get the benefit of a tasting before. Thankfully on Drops the categorisation of wine styles & descriptions helped me a lot picking the right wine!

Every time we've bought natural wine online ourselves, the choice has been elusive: A long wallpaper of wine bottles and you don't really know what you would like. Sure, you know a few winemakers over time, but somehow you're virtually alone without advice in the wine online shop. So buying wines online is often a matter of luck. A few years ago, we immersed ourselves more and more in the world of natural wines, so we wanted to make the experience of online wine shopping much easier. This is where the idea of Drops came from: To make serious natural wines accessible to anyone and everyone and to advocate for a fair and sustainable future.
Natural wine onlineshop, exactly to your taste
To make it as easy as possible for you to buy the right natural wine, Drops offers you various ways to get to know wines online: Wine Styles are our categories into which all wines are divided. Their onomatopoeic names should give you a first idea of the wines: "Fresh & Juicy" are light, drinkable drops, "Fine & Layered" are medium-bodied, balanced wines, while "Rich & Bold" stands for natural wines that intensively line the mouth. None of our wines are opulent, however, all are lively.
Buy natural wines for curious and experienced palates
From the beginning, it was important to us that Drops offers wines for natural wine beginners as well as experienced connoisseurs. To make it easy for less experienced drinkers to find the right wine for them, we developed the first "Natural Wine Finder". It's a kind of quiz in which wine sensory information is translated into tastes that we all know: "Do you prefer vanilla ice cream, raspberry ice cream or lemon sorbet? With answers to a few simple questions, you'll soon find a selection of natural wines that should suit your taste exactly. Try it out! Wine Finder.
Natural Wine, Vin Naturel, Vino Naturale, Raw wine, Naked wine,...Natural wine has many names and yet there is no official, legally regulated definition. However, most winegrowers agree on the following factors to speak of a natural wine: 1. organic or biodynamic cultivation as a basis. 2. hand harvesting instead of machine harvesting and selection of only healthy and the best grapes. 3. spontaneous fermentation: instead of adding pure cultured yeasts to stimulate fermentation, the pressed grape juice is left to ferment on its own and is fermented only by the ambient yeasts. 4. no addition of additives or fining agents. 5. no fine filtration, and therefore no animal proteins. 6. little to no use of sulphites (sulphur). To put it simply, natural wines are handmade wines that do not use any artificial additives or technological interventions and are based on organic or biodynamic viticulture.
