Vinification

Furmint 2023 by Peter Nagyváradi

So multi-faceted, so energetic! And what a herbal spice. Furmint 2023 is probably the most energetic natural wine from the Nagyváradi portfolio and is also somewhat finer and more balanced than Perm. No wonder, Furmint is a true diva in the vineyard. The Furmint grapes come from two sites: Monoszló and Pécsely, two small villages on the northern shores of Lake Balaton, each with barren limestone soils. Ripe, juicy pears and citrus fruits combine with floral and spicy aromas to create a fine palate spectacle. Pressed as a whole bunch with raisins in a manual hand press and then matured for 11 months in used 500-liter Stockinger barrels. Activating and ever-changing. Furmint is so incredibly multi-faceted and puts a grin on our faces. Like all of Peter Nagyváradi's natural wines, unfiltered and bottled without sulphur.
