Pranzegg is an ambassador of culture and nature from South Tyrol

You are truly lucky to get your hands on a few bottles of Pranzegg. With only 4 hectares of vineyards, Marion and Martin Gojer's unique wines are highly sought after.

Compared to typical wines from the region, their products are completely different: natural, exciting, wild and yet rich in finesse and delicate. The natural wines are processed with extensive mash fermentation and therefore have a fine tannin structure that gives the wine its unmistakable DNA.

Pranzegg creates unique skin contact natural wines

Pranzegg cultivates Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, some Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. For the reds, Mario and Martin rely on local grape varieties Lagrein and Vernatsch, which is known as Trollinger in Germany. With the Tonsur, you immediately realise the direction in which Pranzegg is heading. A fragrant Skin Contact Cuvée made from white grape varieties, which reflects the modern South Tyrolean wine style with its delicate tannins and animating freshness - delicately floral with a gripping mouthfeel! The two also let off steam creatively with a small series of sparkling wines: The Miau! Vino Rosso Frizzante delivers a fruity-spicy combo of rhubarb, grapefruit and mint!

Pranzegg - a visionary philosophy among the organic farms around Bolzano

Marion and Martin's main aim is to tell stories through their wines: About the place where they live and their way of life as winegrowers. And biodynamic cultivation helps them to do this as unadulterated as possible: "Spontaneous fermentation, long maturation on the lees, no fining and filtration, minimal amounts of sulphur and a great deal of patience and intuition," says Martin Gojer. The biodynamic cycle is completed by a large number of animals and a small flock of sheep. On the steep vineyards around the Bolzano basin, the vines grow on loamy sand of volcanic origin, deposits of porphyry, basalt and granite - almost perfect PH values. If the natural wines from Pranzegg are not sold out at the moment, the rule is: buy them now!
