Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT 2022

Francesco Cirelli's entry-level wines come from surrounding organic farms in Pescara near the coast. For the Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT 2022, 100% Pecorino grapes are destemmed and matured in steel tanks. Pecorino is the little brother of Trebbiano in Abruzzo and is actually an underdog grape variety. Francesco Cirelli gives it vinophile wings and shows what the grape variety is capable of. Fermentation naturally takes place spontaneously. An uncomplicated, joyful white wine from Abruzzo, which produces rather herbaceous and spicy aromas with restrained fruit. Citrus fruits and some pome fruit were allowed out of the glass. There was also orange peel and peaches. The Pecorino Pescaresi is a lot of fun to drink, has a mild acidity and is a classic, accessible representative of this grape variety in the best sense of the word. After four months on the lees like all natural wines from Francesco Cirelli unfiltered and bottled with little sulphur.
