Our take

Lemon balm, jasmine flowers and a scent of lavender: a Sicilian aromatic explosion. Sounds quite aromatic, but is complemented with a fine, grippy structure and salty finish!

Vinification

SP68 Bianco 2022 from Occhipinti

With the SP68, Arianna Occhipinti brings the sun and freshness of Sicily into the glass. The cuvée consists of the local grape varieties Albanello and Moscato, which grow on red sands and limestone, the latter providing more aroma and fragrance in the composition. Thyme, jasmine blossoms, lemon balm and ripe apples emerge, and with a little air it becomes even more ethereal. The new 2022 vintage is nevertheless a little more delicate and lighter than its predecessors. Arianna Occhipinti macerates your must for 12 days with the skins, the maturation takes place for 6 months in cement vats and is then bottled unfiltered. An exciting entry wine from Occhipinti to get to know modern Sicily.
