Ready Steady Go! 2023 from Straka

A wonderful example that Welschriesling can also produce sparkling wine. The grape variety is currently experiencing a renaissance among young winemakers, especially at the Straka winery in southern Burgenland. The grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the estate and grow on slate soils, which are responsible for the slightly smoky, fine minerality. Highly animating with fine bubbles and a grippy texture, this Pet Nat is ideal as an aperitif and will also go down well at the celebrated Sunday brunch! Aromatically, it goes in the direction of pear, citrus fruit and hints of herbs. Like all Thomas Straka wines, it is bottled unfiltered. Ready Steady Go!
