Our take

Wonderfully ripe with a silky mouthfeel and soft tannins: a Gamay with a fragrant aroma that is very elegant. Pepper, juicy plums and Coca-Cola in a rendezvous - for all those who like it soft and round!

Vinification

Rouge de Schiste 2022 from Terra Vita Vinum

100% Gamay fermented as whole grapes. After 3 weeks of maceration, gently pressed and matured for 13 months in used barriques and concrete. What a wonderfully dark and ripe aroma. The Rouge de Schiste has matured wonderfully in the meantime and possesses great precision, which is wonderfully balanced with soft tannins. The amount of sulphur added varies depending on the vintage; a small amount is added to the 2022. Like all natural wines from Terra Vita Vinum, the 2022 Rouge de Schiste is bottled unfiltered.
