There are wines that take you by the hand, and that’s exactly what the Sauvignon Blanc Kalk & Kreide does. No Zieregg, no single vineyard with legendary status—just the regional wine, essentially the gateway to Tement. And yet there’s no compromise, anywhere. If you want to understand why Armin and Stefan are considered perfectionists, you don’t need to start by tasting the great single-vineyard wines. This Sauvignon Blanc is enough. Gooseberry, elderberry, white currant, with hints of hay and a touch of a flower meadow. The freshness is almost intoxicating; the minerality is delicate and chalky, just as the name promises. The finish is salty and chalky, with an ethereal herbal spice that invigorates rather than tires. If you want to get started with Tement, this is the place to begin! Cheers!
