Our take

Perfectly matured Carignano. With dense but silky tannins, it prances across the palate with fine spice, rounded off with delicate sour cherry, plum and a little pepper. Pure Tuscany.

Vinification

Carignano 2018 from Ampeleia

Elisabetta Foradori, Giovanni Podini and Thomas Widmann together with cellar master Marco Tait from Ampeleia conjure up a wonderfully mature Carignano with the Carignano - pure Tuscany! The Carignano 2018 comes from Demeter-certified grapes and is bottled spontaneously fermented and unfiltered. With every sip, you can feel the tart spice of the Tuscan maquis, with dark fruits emerging from underneath. Like all natural wines from Ampeleia, it is bottled unfiltered.
