Next-level elegance: a single-varietal Cabernet Franc from the monopole vineyard of the same name. So delicate and ethereal, it could almost be Pinot Noir. Perfect tannins meet subtle spice and merge to create a symphony for the palate!

Vinification

Gabouchons 2023 from Terra Vita Vinum

100% Cabernet Franc from the Clos des Gabouchons vineyard of the same name in the commune of Moźe on the eastern bank of the Loire in Anjou Noir. The old vines grow on volcanic rhyolite - also known as porphyry - and are cultivated biodynamically. The style is much more fragrant and floral than other Cabernet Francs from the Loire. The aromas are reminiscent of great Pinot Noirs from Burgundy. After slow pressing and spontaneous fermentation, the must is matured for 12 months in concrete eggs and amphorae. The amount of sulphur added varies depending on the vintage; a small dose was added to the 2023 vintage. Like all natural wines from Terra Vita Vinum, the Gabouchons 2023 is bottled unfiltered.
