Our take

Definitely not a patio rosé, this Grand Cru Rosé has plenty of punch and is endlessly elegant. Its juicy, mineral core meets dark spice and a compact mouthfeel – from the top vineyard Vorderberg!

Vinification

Rosado 2021 from Lichtenberger González

An elegantly intense Blaufränkisch rosé from the top Vorderberg vineyard, totally unique and produced using the saigneé method, i.e. only the free-run juice. The old vines here are 100% on limestone, and this delicacy and precision is clearly noticeable. Martin and Adriana make a juice extraction and then age the wine in used 500-liter barrels. Rosado 2021 has good pressure, but is also super juicy and brings the classic, dark Blaufränkisch spice. Silky tannins, straightforward and serious. Light berry nose with currants and raspberries accompanied by eucalyptus and mint. At Lichtenberger González, all natural wines are given the time and maturity they need, bottled unfiltered and unfined.
