Like the scent of the Provençal Macchia: a powerful wine with hints of olives and herbs. Gripping, but never rebellious, always elegant with a wonderful acidity and tannin structure.

Vinification

La Source 2019 from Saint Jean du Barroux

The 2019 La Source is a blend of Grenache with Carignan and Cinsault growing at the foothills of the Mont Ventoux, it is also Philippe's lowest plot. The vintage is completely destemmed before maceration, fermented spontaneously and then aged for 18 months in enamel and concrete tanks and some used wood. La Source is Provençal to the core, smelling of scrubland herbs, some olive, and beguiling with rich sour cherry and plum. On the palate, we find active tannins that feel wonderfully integrated with the acidity. To fully develop the wine should get a good portion of air in the decanter, also we recommend large glasses! Like all wines from Saint Jean du Barroux, the wines are bottled unfiltered.
