Refined gold in liquid form: Spicy and smoky with a concentrated load of flavour that is wonderfully held in check by the tannin. An exceptional orange wine that continues to develop over weeks. Be sure to decant!

Vinification

Laski Riesling 2020 from Bozidar Zorjan

100% Welschriesling from old vines on volcanic soils. 35 years of biodynamics, the vineyard is a pure biotope. Rarely have we seen healthier vineyards. The Laški Riesling 2020 was fermented for 1 year as a whole bunch in a buried amphora directly behind the house, then matured for a further 2 years in amphorae in the cellar. The natural wine is channelled directly from the amphora into the cellar and carefully completes its maturation in a 400-year-old cellar that was once used by monks. Multicomplex, intense and highly brilliant. Polished tannins with a vibrant energy that is rarely equalled. An explosion of flavours. An orange wine of the highest quality. For all those who like to experiment, this is an absolute must-try. Like all natural wines from Bozidar ZorjanBottled unfiltered and desulphurised.

In Slovenia, there are many winemakers with an eco-label, but only a handful don't take shortcuts - Bozidar Zorjan is one of them and produces pure, unrefined gold in liquid form. His natural wines, which are matured for 3 years in amphorae, are absolutely unique and of the highest quality.
