Our take

New addition to the Heinrichs: Naked Orange! Summer is ushered in with a colorful aroma, as ripe citrus fruit surfs across the tongue in a highly drinkable way. Easy-going!

Vinification

Naked Orange NV from Heinrich

35% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Blanc, 20% Pinot Gris, 10% Traminer and 5% Muscat Ottonel make it into the new Naked Orange. The grapes come from different vineyards, are crushed together and left on the skins for a total of 2 weeks. Gernot and Heike Heinrich ferment the Orange in large wooden barrels and amphorae, which is then allowed to rest on its lees for a year. As with the great Freyheit Orange wines, the wine is aromatic: ripe oranges and lemons join floral aromas. Super animating on the palate and of course fully fermented. Like all of Heinrich's natural wines, bottled unfiltered.
