Renzki Riesling 2019

100% Rhine Riesling, which is known as Renzki Riesling in Slovenia. Old vines on volcanic soils. 35 years of biodynamics, the vineyard is a pure biotope. Rarely have we seen healthier vineyards. The Renzki Riesling 2019 was fermented for 1 year as a whole bunch in a buried amphora directly behind the house, then matured for a further 2 years in amphorae in the cellar. The natural wine is channelled directly from the amphora into the cellar and carefully completes its maturation in a 400-year-old cellar that was once used by monks. The Renzki Riesling is probably Zorjan's firmest and most mineralised wine, intercepted by polished tannins. Always new facets, spice, smoke, floral hints. Multi-layered and unique. An orange wine of the highest quality. For all those who like to experiment, this is an absolute must-try. Like all natural wines from Bozidar Zorjan, bottled unfiltered and without sulphur.
