Wonderfully ripe with a silky mouthfeel and soft tannins: a dark Cabernet with a fragrant aroma that is very elegant. Pepper, juicy plums and Coca-Cola in a rendezvous - banger!

Vinification

Rouge de Schiste 2019 from Terra Vita Vinum

50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented as whole grapes. After 3 weeks of maceration, gently pressed and matured for 30 months in used barriques. What a wonderfully dark and ripe aroma. The Rouge de Schiste has matured wonderfully in the meantime and possesses great precision, which is wonderfully balanced with soft tannins. The amount of sulphur added varies depending on the vintage; a small amount is added to the 2019. Like all natural wines from Terra Vita Vinum, the 2019 Rouge de Schiste is bottled unfiltered.
