Vinification

Silt Burgunder 2020 from Rebenhof

The wine is named after the sandy soils found on the Witscheiner Herrenberg, which have an extremely fine structure. The grapes for the Silt Burgundy 2020 come from steep terraced vineyards planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay vines. All grapes, skins and stems undergo a two-day maceration. Chardonnay then goes into used barriques, the Sauvignon into stainless steel. The wine is then bottled unsulphurised and unfiltered without any further frills - nothing goes in and nothing comes out: Pure natural wine. The vitality and delicacy of the natural wines from Rebenhof is remarkable.
