Luminous orange: Williams pear and coconut dominate the nose, extremely exciting. Juicy with a salty bitter finish and good length!

Vinification

Take my Coconut 2020 from Les Barbatruks

Take my Coconut is a single-varietal Chardonnay and, like the other wines from Les Barbatruks, comes from small micro-parcels around Arbois. The soils are infused with blue, chalky marl, which gives the wines a vibrant acidity. Maxim and Isabelle work strictly selectively by hand and crush the grapes directly. Overall, the Take my Coconut 2020 undergoes several weeks of skin contact during fermentation, which gives it a medium orange colour. Spontaneously fermented and then aged for 12 months in used barriques. Fruity and mineral, a multi-faceted wine with energy and fine acidity - nice balance of reduction and oxidation. Like all wines from Maxim Lannay and Isabelle Delahaye, bottled unfiltered and unsulphured. Extremely limited - 1 bottle per customer :)
