Muschelkalk Weiß is the blatant entry-level wine with expressive minerality, Martin and Adriana conjure up a damn good wine for little money. Juicy, taut and elegant with considerable length.

Muschelkalk Weiß 2022 from Lichtenberger González

The Muschelkalk Weiß 2022 is a cuvée of predominantly Grüner Veltliner with a little Pinot Blanc and Welschriesling from different sites and grown on limestone, a wonderful triad with balanced complexity. For the 22nd vintage, better sites were used for the first time than in previous years. A great introduction to the world of Martin and Adriana, whose signature style is incomparable with the Muschelkalk Weiß. Like all natural wines at Lichtenberger González Spontaneously fermented and then matured for 10 to 11 months in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. We find delicate aromas of tropical fruit, apricot, grass and some caramel. On the palate, the Muschelkalk is wonderfully balanced, good grip with plenty of tension, salinity and length.
