Olla Blanc 2024

Olla Blanc is a cuvée made from Macabeu and Muscat grapes grown at around 600 metres above sea level on limestone soil with a high iron content. The Languedoc Roussillon region has a Mediterranean climate, and winemaker Tom Lubbe is one of the first in the region to begin harvesting. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine is left to mature on the lees in small concrete tanks (2,000 litres). Like all natural wines at Matassa, no sulphur or other additives are used. The focus here is entirely on the work in the vineyard, and this is skilfully implemented. Olla Blanc 2024 is incredibly fresh and lively, the perfect introduction to the orange wine world of Matassa. Like an airy daydream, Olla Blanc floats straight into the heart with its delicate saltiness and floral aroma.
