Our take

Everything comes together in the Salamander: Animating freshness with a delicate creaminess and ultra-long finish. Brioche with salted lemon in a rendezvous. With a little air, it becomes irresistible and will have everyone on their knees!

Vinification

Salamander 2022 by Andreas Tscheppe

100% Chardonnay from terraced vineyards that grow on the characteristic Opok soils. Andreas Tscheppe cultivates uncompromisingly biodynamically and places great emphasis on biodiversity. The Blaue Libelle 2022 is pressed directly and fermented spontaneously in used 500-liter barrels. After 18 months on the lees, this purist, sparse, mineral Chardonnay is bottled and makes wine lovers all over the world smile. Citrusy with some brioche, yet incredibly precise and fine, accompanied by a beautiful reduction. Like all of Andreas Tscheppe's natural wines, unfiltered and bottled with minimal addition of sulphur.
