Our take

A creamy, calm Grüner Veltliner with hints of honey and chamomile: for all Burgundy lovers. Initially shy, reductive, but opens up like a flower with time! Extremely small quantities.

Vinification

Orbis 2017 from Naboso

Orbis has it all: a 5-year matured, single-varietal Grüner Veltliner that is definitely the most intense natural wine in the Naboso wine family - very small quantities, only one barrel was made. Nadja and Andrej wanted to let it mature a little longer until it would present itself at its best. After two weeks of maceration, the Grüner Veltliner is aged in small acacia and oak barrels in 500L format, the wood is noticeable in the wine, smooth and slightly creamy, for all Burgundy lovers:inside, grab it. On the nose there is a portion of ripe fruit with honey and some camomile. Orbis definitely needs some air and time in the glass, best to carafe an hour before. Like all wines at Naboso, Doma is bottled unfiltered and with minimal added sulphur.
